RENNY PEREIRA

This is an animation I did with three other friends for a competition in Anima Mundi 2014 called "Animated Marathon". We had to create an entire animation from beginning to end in just a week, there had to be a pigeon somewhere, and the theme was "carioca types" (carioca is a person/or thing from Rio). We decided to focus our characters on things that were typically from or appreciated in Rio, such as our protagonist, who is a "pedrinha portuguesa," a Portuguese stone that you can find in the famous sidewalks of Copacabana and other beaches along the city.  I was responsible for character design and concepts, storyboard/animatic and to think through the cut outs for the characters for animation.
